It was asked from Hazrat Ali (as): How should a
person take account of himself?
Hazrat Ali (as) replied:
When a person ends his day, then he should
turn towards himself and say ‘O self! This day that has passed will not
return. Allah (SWT) will ask you about how you wasted your day. He will
ask you about the actions you performed, whether you remembered Him and
praised Him? Whether you fulfilled a right of your fellow believer? Did
you remove a difficulty that befell upon a believer? Did you protect his
children in his absence? Did you safeguard his rights after his death?
Did you – on account of your position – prevent anyone from backbiting
your believing brother? Did you help any Muslim throughout the day?
this is not my story, but i would like to share with you :
When I remember the story I am about to narrate, I usually feel a sting
in my heart. Infact, I think it would be more befitting if I should cry.
This is what happened about 7 to 8 years ago:

Imagine life as a game in which you are juggling some five balls in
the air. They are Work, Health, Family, Friend, and Spirit and you’re
keeping all of these in the air.
You will soon understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it,
it will bounce back. But the other four Balls – Family, Health, Friends
and spirit-are made of glass. If you drop one of these; they will be
irrevocably scuffed, marked, nicked, damaged or even shattered. They
will never be the same. You must under...

Auf bin Malik (R.A.) says: I came to Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) while he was in his skin tent during the Tabuk expedition. He said to me, "Count six things before the advent of Qiyamah:
* My death
* The conquest of Jerusalem
* Mass deaths amongst you people, just as when sheep die in large numbers during an epidemic
* Abundance of wealth to such an extent that if a person were to be given a hundred Dinars he will still not be satisfi... Continue reading...
Once Hadhrat Umar (Radhiyallaho Anho), during his caliphate, was going on his usual rounds towards Harrah (a suburb of Madinah) with his slave Aslam, when he saw a distant fire in the desert. He said, "There seems to be a camp. Perhaps, it is a caravan that could not enter the town due to night fall. Let's go and look after them and arrange for their protection during the night."
When he reached there, he found a woman and some children. The children were crying. The woman had a ... Continue reading...
Telling the truth is a very good habit. If you always speak the truth, you can save yourself from a lot of trouble! Here is a story of a man who did a lot of bad things, but his promise to tell the truth saved him.
Once a man came to the prophet Muhammad (S) and said, "Oh prophet of Allah, I have many bad habits. Which one of them should I give up first?" The prophet said, "Give up telling lies first and always speak the truth." The man promised to do so and went home.
